Bernice Suhrie Bergherm

Bernice Suhrie Bergherm, 82, was born August 5, 1933 and passed away on January 23, 2016 shortly after being diagnosed with cancer. Bernice graduated in 1955 from Washington Adventist University, formally Washington Missionary College, with a degree in nursing and was the operating room director at Washington Adventist Hospital before retiring to raise her family. Her late husband, Dr. Bruce Bergherm, was an Anesthesiologist at Piedmont Hospital in Georgia and together they are survived by sons Bruce (Ellen), Brent (Leigh Ann), and Brian (Debbie); grandchildren Bruce III, Christopher, Nashay, Melanie, Garrett, Nicholas, Alexandra; and great grandchildren Graceson, Blake, Kaleb, Evan, Sariya, Faith, and London. She was a long term resident of Atlanta, Georgia, but most recently of Sebring, Florida, where she passed away. Visitation will be held on Monday January 25 from 6pm until 8pm at the H.M. Patterson & Son Arlington Chapel at 173 Allen Rd NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday January 26 at 1pm at the H.M. Patterson & Son Arlington Chapel with Elders Albert Ellis and Noel Shanko officiating. Burial will follow the service at Arlington Memorial Park.
