

Mrs. Bertha “Bert” Treadaway, 85, of White formerly of Atlanta died peacefully on Saturday, the 9th of July 2016 at her residence. She was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Cartersville and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Buckhead B.P.O.E. Her contributions to the B.P.O.E. were interest in the Aidmore Children’s Home and she served as the President of the Ladies Auxiliary as well as state Chairman of the Aidmore Foundation Ladies Auxiliary. Bert was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Brantley and is survived by her loving and devoted husband of over 65 years, Harry M. Treadaway; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Jerry May of Marietta; son and daughter-in-law, Harry Treadaway, Jr. and Kathy Treadaway of Lawrenceville; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Larry Apperson of Skillman, NJ; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services celebrating Bert’s life will be conducted on Wednesday, the 13th of July at two o’clock at Patterson’s Arlington Chapel with the Reverend Dr. Chris H. Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Cartersville, 183 West Main Street, Cartersville, GA 30120. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family Wednesday from twelve o’clock noon until the hour of service at H. M. Patterson & Son Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Road, NE, Sandy Springs, GA.
