Bette Y. Patterson

Bette Young Patterson, 81, of Marietta, passed away June 26, 2011 at Altus Hospice in Atlanta. She was born in Waycross, GA on January 27, 1930, the daughter of Ossie H. Young, Sr., and Lou Owen Young. She graduated from Waycross High School with the class of 1947 and maintained a close relationship with friends from the class as well as her devoted friends in the Savannah and Atlanta area. She was a realtor with Northside Realty/Caldwell Banker, Atlanta until her retirement. Her greatest joy in life was her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Howard Young, Jr. and is survived by her son, Ben L. Patterson, III; daughter, Daphne Asbury (Blake); daughter, Holly Belk (Jeff); grandchildren, Devon Asbury, Riley Belk and Andrea Patterson; sister, Ann Fairley; sister-in-law, Sis Young; many nieces, nephews, and special cousins. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Altus Hospice Foundation, 1 Dunwoody Park, Suite 128, Dunwoody, GA 30338. A memorial service will be Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 11 o’clock at Dunwoody United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements by H.M.
