Martha Christine Mullis Baker of Atlanta went to be with the Lord November 21, 2025, at the age of 103. Mrs. Baker was born on September 5, 1922, in Dublin, GA, the fourth of seven children. In early childhood her family moved to Atlanta where she spent the rest of her life. She graduated from Commercial High School then worked as a private secretary and later as a real estate agent. Faith and family were the two most important parts of her life. As a child she received Jesus as her Savior learning and growing in Him at North Avenue Presbyterian Church where she and Billy raised their children and served much of their lives. In her later years she faithfully attended Atlanta Westside Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents and siblings, Christine was preceded in death by her husband of over 67 years, William Lisman Baker, Jr. She is survived by her son, William Lisman Baker, III; daughter, Martha Baker Kelley (Holcombe); granddaughter, Christine Kelley Cella (Paul); and great grandchildren who considered her “their best playmate”, Katie, Mary Chris, Elizabeth, and William Cella. Graveside services will be Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Arlington Memorial Park. A memorial service will follow on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at Atlanta Westside Presbyterian Church.
