Clara was a medical doctor both by training and DNA.  She told me that doctors on her father's side served in the military as far back as the Civil War.  She helped many as a compassionate human being and medical doctor, and the many years it took in school and training were put to good use for the benefit of others.

A Beloved Childhood Companiona and Beah Buddy!

Dr. McClellan changed my life and set me ona path to healing that I will be eternally grateful for the rest of my breathing days. I am just now finding her obituary as looked to find an old friend I have lost contact with. Her name sent me this site ,she had sent a condolence message. Clara saved both of us and I am sure there are many she helped with care and skill. Rest well Clara, Thank you.

I knew Dr. McClellan for many years during and after her residency. She was a kind, giving, gentle Southern woman with exceeding grace and love for her children. She will be greatly missed. My condolences to her family.
It is a big loss.

Another Childhood Friend now gone. We grew up together in Atlanta and Ormond Beach Florida! Her father was my father's best friend!

A more wonderful woman, mother, friend  and doctor never walked this earth! As my dear friend and my son's MD, I came to know her and her beautiful family well. We were in and out of each other's lives for many years. She was the kind of friend who always cared and I loved her deeply. She will now spread her special sunshine in Heaven.

David, Sharon, and family. I want to express my sincere sympathy. I always loved being with Clara. Because of my interest in psychiatry, I always found our conversations intriguing. She was indeed a wonderful woman. In reading her obituary, I was reminded of her many accomplishments and the rich life she lived.  Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you.

What a great lady and friend! Always cared so much about her patients and when ask what made her so different than a lot of other Psychiatrist, she said "my Dad was a Dr and he was always there for his patients even if they were unable to pay, it was just the way he was, and I guess it was the way he taught me."
