Thank you, Cone, for my first job as an appraiser (1990). I spent many hours in your Paces Ferry Road and Cumberland Parkway offices learning the ropes and being challenged with off-the-wall assignments and property types. Thanks for being my first mentor. Rest in Peace, my friend.

Mr. Maddox was my professor at Southern Tech and the reason for my over 19-year career as a Commercial Appraiser today. An extremely intelligent, talented, funny gentleman that will be very much missed in this world. I am truly appreciative that our paths in life crossed.

My heartfelt sympathies,
Matthew Jackson

I am saddened by Cone's passing, but he will bring much joy to the hereafter with his wonderful wit and stories. I met Cone in 1990 while taking appraisal classes from him. He gave me a job and changed my life for the better. He was my mentor and encouraged me at every turn until I achieved my MAI with him as my sponsor. He was like a father to me, maybe a brother, but certainly a friend for the past 30 years. I truly loved this man as family and I will miss him dearly. My prayers go out to all of his family, rest in peace Cone.
