

David Anthony Krauth, 65, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 2. He was the loving husband of Denise Avra Krauth, with whom he recently celebrated 40 years of marriage. David was an Atlanta native and the epitome of a southern gentleman. He grew up in Decatur, the eldest son of the late Edward and Geraldine (Tuck) Krauth. He attended West Georgia College and was a charter member of the Sigma Alpha Omega (later became Kappa Sigma) fraternity. He served in the Air Force and then worked for McBurney Corporation for 37 years. He was an avid traveler and especially fond of the beach. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Darbie Krauth, Laurel Tucker, wife of Graham Tucker, and Whitney Delaney, wife of Chris Delaney; a granddaughter, Audrey Tucker; a brother, Ed Krauth Jr. and wife Lee; nephews Eddie Krauth and Michael Krauth; sister-in-law Marilyn Williams, wife of Buddy Williams; nieces Jenny Williams and Mary Margaret Epps; his SAO brothers; and his beloved dog, Lola. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to CURE Childhood Cancer or the West Georgia Kappa Sigma Fraternity Scholarship fund. A celebration of David’s life will be Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd, NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
