

Mrs. Dolores Davidson, 81, a longtime resident of Dunwoody died Monday, the 15th of April, 2013 after fighting a long courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Daughter of the late Frank and Esther Ingram Staten she was an active member of Dunwoody United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school class and volunteered with the Meals on Wheels Program. Before her illness she was an avid golfer and bridge player. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Staten, Jr. She married her high school sweetheart, “Bo” on April 21, 1951 and had a beautiful and loving life together. Surviving are her husband of almost 62 years, “Bo” Davidson; daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Sheldon Greenwald of Johns Creek, Nancy and Mike DeVries of Duluth; grandchildren and their spouses, Allison and Justin Armbrust, Ashley and Gene Siller, Matt, Rick, and Kelly DeVries; and 2 great-grandchildren, Julianne and Jackson Armbrust. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, the 17th of April at two o’clock at Dunwoody United Methodist Church with Dr. B. Wiley Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Dunwoody United Methodist Church, 1548 Mt. Vernon Road, Dunwoody, GA 30338. Friends are cordially invited to visit with the family Tuesday evening from six until eight o’clock at H. M. Patterson & Son Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Road, NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328 and again Wednesday from one o’clock until the hour of service at the church.
