Donald L. Wulz, 93, of Atlanta, died February 4, 2013. Mr. Wulz was a decorated World War II veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He had a career with New York Life Insurance Company for over 65 years where he retired as Southeastern Regional Vice President. Mr. Wulz played the clarinet and saxophone during his school years and played in the American Legion Band in Milwaukee. He enjoyed listening to live music throughout his life. He was an avid golfer and a Lifetime Member of Atlanta Country Club. Mr. Wulz was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Jane Lodge Wulz and is survived by his current wife, Martha W. Wulz; children, Merridy Gram (John), Greg Wulz (Paula), Janelle Hamblen, and Jeffrey Wulz, and step-children Nancy Bates and Holly Painter; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; brother, Allan Wulz (Charlotte); and sister, Arlene Fournier. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta or Challenged Child & Friends, Inc. of Gainesville, GA. A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 10, 2013 at 2 o’clock at Patterson’s Arlington Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd, NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
