Dorothy A. “Dottie” Almeida, 86 of Alpharetta, died December 31, 2024. Mrs. Almeida was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Allen and Dorothy Lacefield. She lived in Cincinnati until her marriage to Jose Almeida in 1970 and they moved to Atlanta. After their marriage, Dottie worked with her husband to successfully operate JEALCO International, Inc. which is the exportation company he started in 1947. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Jose Ernesto Almeida and is survived by her daughter, Marisa Greenstein (Larry); step-daughter, Xia Davis; step-grandchildren, Brian Eller, Alyxia Tremblay (Jay); step-great grandchildren, Isabel Eller, Sophia Eller, Jacob Klepaszewski, Brody Tremblay, Brie Tremblay; brother, Kenneth Lacefield; step-sister, Charlene Smith; nephew, Mark Lacefield (Melissa); and niece, Kim Wikette (Matt). In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 7, 2025 from 6 to 8 o’clock at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd, NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. The Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 10 o’clock at Saint Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 7171 Glenridge Dr, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.
