Ella H. Moore

Ella H. Moore, 89, of Atlanta, died April 29, 2011. Mrs. Moore was a long time member of Wieuca Road Baptist Church where she was a member of the Faith Sunday School Class, served on numerous committees and taught English as a second language. She was an avid gardener and was a member of the River North Garden Club. Ella was born in Paulding County, Dallas, Georgia. She graduated from Dallas High School in 1940 and attended Greenleaf School of Business with a major in accounting. Seven years short of retirement, she left the business world to assist in the care of her ailing mother and to spend more time with husband, friends, home and garden. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, John Bertram Moore, Jr.; father, Walter Clemons Hunt; mother, Jodie Holland Hunt; sister, Jewell Hunt Tibbetts; brothers, Randolph John Hunt and Gid Clay Hunt. Survivors include her sister, Joetta Hunt Wood; sister-in-law, Vera Hunt; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wieuca Road Baptist Church, 3626 Peachtree Rd, Atlanta, GA 30326. Funeral services will be Monday, May 2, 2011 at 2 o’clock at Wieuca Road Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
