Evan Keith Sapp, 40, of Atlanta, Ga, passed away unexpectedly on June 13, 2020. He was born in Tampa, FL, on October 23, 1979, son of Michael Keith Sapp and Janet Perkins Newburg. He is survived by his parents, his son, Gavin Sapp, his ex-wife, Bonnie Sapp, and his sister, Megan Sapp. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Vivian Bruce, his paternal grandmother, Betty Sapp, as well as his uncles, aunts, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Earl Keith Sapp, and maternal grandfather, Eston Lamar Perkins.
Evan graduated from Southern Polytechnic State University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. He was respected among his peers as a talented and hard-working Software Engineer, developing commercial products in Healthcare that are still used to this day. He was an avid football fan. You could often find him wearing Florida Gators or Atlanta Falcons sports gear. Evan loved animals, especially dogs, cooking, going to sporting events, watching a game while eating wings and drinking a beer, and spending time with his son. Evan was a loyal friend, maintaining many decades long friendships. He is deeply loved and will be sorely missed.
