Fannie Sparks passed away December 5, 2016 at the age of 96. In 1946, she married George A. Sparks of Atlanta. Mrs. Sparks was very active in and supportive of church organizations. She was a member of the Daughters of Penelope and served as President and District Governor. She was a member of the Ladies Philoptohos Society. She participated in many Atlanta Greek Festivals. Mrs. Sparks is survived by her son Andy Sparks, husband of Angela Ballenger Sparks and her daughter Vicki Bode, wife of Ted Bode. Grandchildren include Happy Jordan, Angela (Gay) Broussard; Cator Wolford Sparks; Ryan Bode, Tyler Bode, and Clay Bode. She was predeceased by her husband George in 1985. A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 10th, at 11:00 a.m. at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation, 2500 Clairmont Rd., Atlanta, GA 30329.
