

Frances White passed away peacefully on October 25, 2014 at the age of 91. Frances was born November 6, 1922 in Atlanta and spent her childhood in the Garden Hills area of Buckhead. Prior to her marriage to John Porter Bunn in 1947, she worked in various places including Leon Frohsin’s dress shop in downtown Atlanta and the Bell Bomber Plant in Marietta, but she was most proud of her service with the American Red Cross during WWII. She was formerly a member of Second-Ponce de Leon Baptist Church and was also a charter member of Wieuca Road Baptist Church in Buckhead and played a vital role in the organization of the church in its early days. She is preceded in death by her parents, Claude Orear White and Leoma Cowan White, three sisters, Vivian Hughes Aiken, Catherine White and Claudia MacFarland, and one brother, Raymond White. She is survived by her husband, John, and children, Robert Bunn, John Bunn and Judith Bunn Brock; seven grandchildren, Taylor Bunn Shelton, Jennifer Bunn Servo, Heather Bunn Sudduth, Porter Brock, Suelynn Bunn, Brandon Bunn and Scott Bunn, as well as four great grandchildren. Graveside services will be Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 2 o’clock at Arlington Memorial Park with Dr. Mark Wilbanks officiating.
