I miss my brother and parts of me are sad he is no longer with us. His passing has made me aware of the many beautiful qualities his being expressed. There was the ever present playfulness and humor, the kindness and helpfulness he brought to his relationships, and the general curiosity he had about life. And there was the keen intelligence and wit especially in the field of politics which we often discussed. I always thought he would good in politics and suggested it to him. Frank was not free of life’s difficulties but even with the challenges he faced these beautiful qualities were still present albeit more veiled at times. My favorite memory of Frank was when we were both children and spending a summer at our family “Farm”, a pristine wonder of nature in the Ozark Mountains. One afternoon we went for a several hour walk down an old road through the forest. It was one of those enchanted experiences we have as children of “once upon a time in a faraway land.” Our mostly Border collie, Tippy was with us. It was a fun adventure. Toward the end of our excursion Frankie was too tired to walk so I picked him and carried him on my shoulders until we returned safely home. Our mother was worried and not pleased that we were gone so long but we were both quite content and happy. This beautiful bonding experience we had as children was always there in the background supporting our friendship and care for each other. It was a time when those delightful traits of intelligence, humor, playful cheer were blossoming in his life to become part of his temperament as a person we know and cared for. May Divine Love bless and guide Frank on his Journey into the “peace that passeth understanding”.


Dear Ben and family ~
I’ll miss the phone calls, when he would answer, “Hey!” or “Hey Sweetheart!”  He was my big brother, my advocate after our dad died when he was just 12 and I was 9. He took  the big brother role seriously. 
We shared our battle wounds, our shared memories of our tumultuous  upbringing, we shared our joys and sorrows. We would laugh uncontrollably at the stories that no one would believe. Like a branch on a  tree with the same root, we grew in different directions. I’m grateful that we grew closer in the end. He had faith. He had an undeniable love for you, his beloved son. He loved his grandchildren. He is near, always in our hearts. He was your dad and he was my brother. 
Frank, Rest In Peace.

I knew Frank when we overlapped by a couple of years at Mercer, and was fortunate enough to be the recipient of phone calls every month or so over the last several years. As written in the beautiful obituary, I was very fortunate to be part of Frank's extended family. He was such a sweet man, and he was a devoted father and grandfather. His love and admiration for Ben shone through in every phone call. As a common friend said, his passing has left a hole in my heart.

Ben and family.  I am so sorry about Frank.  I've known Frank for over 40 years, as he was my best friend's (Patty) husband.  I have many fond memories of them and Frank will be missed.  Ben, he loved you so much.  Every time we spoke, he always spoke about you.  My condolences and prayers to you all.
