What do we say about the son, the sibling, the grandchild and friend he was? How do we begin to define this remarkable man?
Gavin was taken entirely too soon from us and has left us with profound grief; he was our gentle giant.
Gavin enjoyed small gatherings with friends, family, and good food. Board and card games were almost as loved as a well-timed pun. He had a passion for music, video games, and history books. Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Roman history were amongst the staples of his library.
He worked at a variety of places in retail after getting his bachelor’s degree in Political Science. He eventually settled into working as a driver for Amazon and won several delivery awards over the years.
It might have taken a while for some to see what a treasure he was, but Gavin loved thoroughly and with an open heart. The space he took in our hearts will never be filled. He cared deeply for humanity and held those he loved close to his heart. We pray you take comfort in that.
Be happy and whole, our son.
A small private service is being held as a celebration of life on Saturday February 15th. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to EveryTown For Gun Safety and Support. https://everytownsupportfund.org
