Gerald E. Johnson

Gerald E. Johnson, 97 of Atlanta, died April 9, 2025. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Benjamin Johnson and is survived by her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; best friend, Cory Ditman; and favorite person, Douglas Byron. Gerri had a long career as an executive secretary starting with BellSouth and eventually retiring when it was AT & T. She was also active with the Telephone Pioneers. In her youth, Gerri had modeled, taken dance classes, attended finishing school and took shorthand. She always said the “key to longevity is laughter.” Graveside services will be Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 11 o’clock at Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mount Vernon Hwy., Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
