I remember that Dick was passionate about being the photographer for University Yacht Club and Graddie was always by his side, handling camera bags and helping arrange people for photos. We have his many photo books in our club library. When Dick passed away, Graddie knew that I also had a passion for photography and brought me to her beautiful home and passed along Dick’s many reams of photo paper so that I might keep the tradition going. It’s always been a special memory for me. The UYC family sends its condolences and prayers.

Thank you for sharing the Memorial Service with us. I have fond memories of Aunt Graddie when we stayed with your family waiting to fly to Germany. I was able to visit a few times over the years and she came to Mom’s (Martha Nickerson), funeral in Maine. She shared some of her memories of the Oliver family with me and my family. I think the Olivers held a big party as they welcomed her. I am sorry for your loss. As long as we all share our memories with each other, our parents will never be forgotten.

I was sorry to hear about Aunt Graddie’s death from Aunt Laura. I remember all the times we would visit and talk about how pretty her rose garden was. She will be missed.
