Iris Silberman

Born on January 7, 1952, in Baltimore, Maryland, she graduated Northwestern Senior High School and completed a radiologic technology program, receiving certifications in CT and MRI scans. She went on to work as an MRI technologist for over 40 years. She enjoyed gardening and had a particular love for African violets. She loved traveling up the East Coast as a young adult, spending many summers with her aunt in New York, along with camping and the outdoors. She was an avid reader, lover of ‘60s and ‘70s tunes, and enjoyed spoiling her cats over the years. Iris was a proud Mother and “Nana” and loved nothing more than spending time and sharing her wisdom with those she loved.

Iris was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. She was best known for her selflessness, quick witted manner, and the way she loved without judgment or expectations. Iris had a remarkable way of knowing just what to say, the perfect gift to give, or a thoughtful gesture that would mean the most. She was always someone others could turn to for guidance, advice, or simply a listening ear. Her thoughtfulness, insight, and genuine care for those around her made everyone feel known and loved.

She is survived by her three children, Jennifer Fran Miller (Victor), Annie Lynne Belcher (Scott), and Brian Scott Silberman (Amber); and four grandchildren - Bailey Kate Belcher, Madison Rebecca Belcher, Elliana Blue Silberman, and Max Mitchell Silberman.
