James Daniel “Jamey” Killingsworth, Jr., aged 62, passed away on November 6, 2024, in Atlanta, Georgia. Born on December 24, 1961, Jamey worked after college with his father at AXA/Equitable Financial Services, followed by a stint as a franchisee with Moe’s Southwest Grill. then served as a Franchise Development Manager at Global Franchise Group. He continued working with other Moe’s franchisees until recently.
Jamey attended North Georgia College for a year and was a proud alumnus of the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia, where he honed his skills that later paved the way for his professional achievements. His academic journey began at Greater Atlanta Christian School, where he distinguished himself in varsity basketball.
Jamey is survived by his children, Jake and Brooke Killingsworth; his former wife, Kelly Killingsworth; his father, James D. Killingsworth, Sr. (Judy); his siblings, Cindi White (Wayne), Vicki Nardone (Chris), Amy Killingsworth, and David Killingsworth (Jennifer); and several loving nephews and nieces. His mother, Vida Laverne Grayson Killingsworth preceded him in death.
A service to honor and celebrate his life will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 2:00 PM at H.M. Patterson & Son-Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
