A native of Atlanta, Tony loved attending family sporting events, playing golf with his sons, dreaming up and then building everything imaginable with his own hands, Ray Charles’ music, Varsity hot dogs, and anything Georgia Tech. He grew up in the Kirkwood and East Atlanta neighborhoods where he attended Murphy High School, and was a long-time resident of Dunwoody where he and his family were active in the local communities of Kingsley and Murphy Candler Park.
Tony took great pride in his family and was a central presence for many immediate and extended family members and friends. Tony was a consummate caregiver who lovingly supported his first wife, Jean, and his second wife, Toni, through hard fought battles with cancer.
Tony graduated from The Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Civil Engineering, the first in his family to attend college. His accomplished career began at The Georgia Power Company, spanned a 26 year run at The Taulman Company where he served as President, and concluded with retirement from the John Underwood Companies also serving as President. He was a member of the Capital City Club.
