I just googled Jane's name and saw this. She was my boss & mentor at Day Inn's corporate office. She was the best thing that ever happened to my career. The toughest & fairest boss I ever had. She gave me the push I needed to get CPA certificate. I'm indebted to her forever.

I knew Jane at Sweet Briar College, we were room mates for a short time. She was a lovely and positive person with a beautiful smile. From what I have read, and have seen in the photos, the smile and attitude stayed bright. My condolences to her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lauer, her husband and sons.

I was in Alpha Gamma Delta with Jane. We often talked about how transferring into a new school to begin Jr. year was challenging. Many fond memories. I am so sorry for your loss. Hugs and prayers....Cindy Forbes Lagunas

To Jane's Family I send my condolences, love, and prayers. Jane and I shared an apartment while at UGA and we spent many hours at the kitchen table talking about college, future careers, and of course guys! She introduced me to Theta Chi where she was a little sister and I later became one too. We had many good times during that time in our lives and although we did not stay in touch over the years, I've thought of her often and will remember her fondly. I am so saddened by the news of her passing and of her long battle with cancer. She was a good friend, loving and kind and the most giving of people, always thinking of others. I was Blessed to have known her. With love, Debbie McLaughlin Banks

Dear Lamar, Clarke & John,
We just received the news of Jane's passing. We are so very sorry for your loss. Jane was such a vibrant and positive spirit and we will cherish her memory always. Being young mothers together, we enjoyed raising our boys and attending all sporting events and functions. I loved being with her. She had the best sense of humor.
