

Jane Allen Taylor died on July 16, 2014, just three weeks before her 89th birthday. She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on August 6, 1925, the eighth of nine children of Edwin and Kate Allen. Beloved by family and friends, she had a beautiful smile and joyous spirit, laughed easily and brought happiness to everyone around her. After a successful career in Chattanooga as the General Manager of a Quality Inn motel for over a decade, she moved to Atlanta, GA and married M. Joe Taylor in 1981. She became an active member of Peachtree Presbyterian Church, serving as an Elder, Clerk of the Session and heading up various committees. Mrs. Taylor is survived by her husband, and his children from a previous marriage: David Taylor and his wife Jolene; and Denise Eidson and her husband John; thirteen grandchildren; and, her daughter from a previous marriage, Debra Roberts. Memorial services celebrating Jane’s life will be held on Friday, the 18th of July at twelve o’clock, noon at Peachtree Presbyterian Church with Dr. Stephen Huntley officiating. Immediately following the services all are cordially invited to a reception in the adjacent Williams Center. Flowers are acceptable or you may make a contribution to the charity of your choice.
