Jean McCall (Smith), of Atlanta, Georgia passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023. Jean was born on September 11, 1925 in Atlanta, Georgia. She was a beloved mother, grandmother (Gaga), devoted wife, and supportive friend. After high school, she worked for The Coca-Cola Company for 17 years before becoming a homemaker. She was an avid bridge player and although quiet, she had quite a sense of humor. She was a member of Peachtree Presbyterian Church for 50 years and a faithful member of the Gene Wilson Sunday School class.
She was predeceased by her husband, James Edward (Mac) McCall. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Couch and grandchildren, Nick and Courtney of Marietta, and her son and his wife, Jim and Betsy McCall of Marietta and grandchildren, Erin Nicholls (Jay) of Boston and Callie McCall of New York. She is also predeceased by her brother, George Frederick Smith, Jr.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
