Mary Elizabeth, Betty and Ann,

I was so sorry to see the notice of Jean's passing. The Lowndes lived 2 doors down from us Bazemores on Linda Way in SW Atlanta. Ann, I remember playing with you from time to time. From the notes I see here, Jean was obviously loved by many and lived a life of caring and giving to others. I can see she was a joy and blessing to her friends and family. I know you all must be very proud of her. My sister, Connie and I, extend our sympathy and pray God's comfort eases your saddness.

Don and Mary Elizabeth, what a wonderful legacy Jean leaves...reminds me of the short poem: Only 1 life, twill soon be past, only what's done for Christ will last. Her life is a shining example of how Christ radiates through our everyday life and has an impact on others. We will pray for you. Jean was a wonderful person. Jan Walthall (daughter of Betty & Loyd Durham who were close friends to Frank & Betty Lowndes)

Linn and I were so saddened with the news that Jean's journey had ended. She was a courageous, sweet inspiration to all of us who knew her. We grieve for Don, Mary Elizabeth and all of Jean's family and friends. May God's love help them all move forward.

Though Jean's life ended way too soon, Linn and I will always celebrate the years she was with us. Her soul was full of love and happiness and it was a joy being with her. Memories of our time together in the Service, the elation she and Don had when ME blessed their home, several trips together, lazy boat rides on Lake Hartwell and our long telephone conversations bring solace to us now.
