

Our dad, Jack, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2015 due to natural causes. Dad was 94 years old. He is survived by his daughters, Karen Lee and Jeanie Nickle, and his son, Ron Lee. He has grandchildren: Jennifer Lee, Addie Nickle, and Brandon Nickle; and one great-grandson, Keyser Nickle. Dad was born December 7, 1921 (Pearl Harbor Day) to John and Inez Lee of Mableton, Georgia, where he graduated from Mableton High School. He was one of 4 children: sisters Betty Bennett and Geraldine Fair, and brother Frank Lee. His parents moved around in Georgia due to his dad’s work with the Southern Railroad. He met our mom, Addie Eugenia Burns, in Jesup, Ga. They married on November 5, 1942, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Mom and Dad were members of the Dunwoody United Methodist Church in Dunwoody, GA. Dad was a WWII veteran. He enlisted with the Army Air Corp and became a B17 crew member, flying out of Amendola AFB near Foggia, Italy with the 15th Air Force, 2nd Bomb Group, 96th Squadron. He flew over 20 missions over Germany, Austria, Italy, and Romania during the war. After the war, Mom and Dad moved to Atlanta, where Dad attended law school and passed the Bar Exam. He was an attorney in downtown Atlanta for many years until he purchased the Creditors Company. He and Mom were Georgia Bulldog supporters and attended as many games as they could, both home and road games. The family will be receiving friends Monday, December 21, 2015 from 6 to 8 o’clock at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd., NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 2 o’clock at Patterson’s Arlington Chapel. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.
