

Mrs. Josephine Hale Windsor passed away on July 19, 2012 at the age of 87. She was born on April 17, 1925 in Denver, Colorado to Cora Belle Ball Hale and Louis Harris Hale. She grew up in Tennessee and Georgia, graduating from Cartersville High School in 1942. She attended Georgia State College for Women (now Georgia College and State University) in Milledgeville for one year. She then worked for the Bell Aircraft Company in Marietta until 1945. After World War II ended, she worked for several small companies, and in 1948 she was employed by the Atlanta Journal, working there until 1955 when she retired. She married Philip Bennett Windsor in 1951 and they were married for 50 wonderful years until his death in April 2001. She was an active member of Wieuca Road Baptist Church and the Faith Sunday School Class, and also a member of the D.A.R. She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Windsor Knochel, of Atlanta.
Visitation is Saturday, July 21st from 4-6 p.m. at H.M. Patterson & Son Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Road, NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. Funeral services are Sunday, July 22nd at 2:00 p.m. at Wieuca Road Baptist Church, 3626 Peachtree Road, NE, Atlanta, GA 30326. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Wieuca Road Baptist Church.
