Judith Alice Freese Glynn died peacefully surrounded by family at her home in Dunwoody, Georgia, on July 11, 2020. Judy was born in Chicago, Illinois, on August 13, 1932 to Stella Dora Reger Freese and Arthur Milton Freese. She attended the University of New Mexico and later started working at Coca Cola in Chicago. While working at Coca Cola, she met her future husband, Leo William Glynn, and they were married on July 7, 1956.
Judy was a loving and devoted wife, mother of five, grandmother of thirteen, and great-grandmother of four. She loved to laugh, travel, and have fun. Judy was a loyal member of the St. Joseph’s Auxiliary Swinging Saints where she will forever be remembered as Mr. Green Jeans.
Judy is survived by her five children, Kathleen Grupp (James) of Alpharetta, Georgia; Colleen Dye (Mark) of Alpharetta, Georgia; Carolyn Jones of Johns Creek, Georgia; Jacqueline Leitner (Mark) of Alpharetta, Georgia; and Arthur Leo Glynn of Sandy Springs, Georgia; her brother, James A. Freese (Jeanne) of Sun City, Arizona; her grandchildren, Christopher Grupp (Kaitlin), Scott Grupp (Heather), John Dye, Megan Dye, Robert Grupp (Erika), Ryan Jones, Kathleen Grupp, Elizabeth Dye, Thomas Leitner, Nicholas Jones, Patrick Leitner, Daniel Jones, and Jennifer Leitner; and her great-grandchildren, Emma Grupp, Layla Grupp, Sophia Grupp, and Lillian Grupp.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Leo William Glynn of Chicago, Illinois; her sister, Jeanne Freese Siekkotter of San Diego, California; and her brother, John A. Freese of Salem, South Carolina.
The family will receive friends on July 15, 2020 at All Saints Catholic Church in Dunwoody, Georgia, from 10:15 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral mass celebrated by Father Dan Rogaczewski at 11:00 a.m. The burial service will be held in the Calvary section of Arlington Memorial Park immediately following the funeral.
