Keith Harvey Cooper, 82, of Suwanee, GA died September 16, 2018. He was born in Clarksburg, Ontario (Canada) March 22, 1936, and grew up in London, Ontario, where he graduated from University of Western Ontario in 1957, with a B.S. degree in Math & Physics. He earned his F.S.A., and became a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (Canada) in 1959, and spent his working career in insurance & employee benefits consulting, retiring in 1991 from Towers Perrin (now Willis Towers Watson). He served on the Board of Directors & Executive Committee for that firm. Keith had a love for music and played clarinet in several bands over the course of his lifetime. He had a passion to serve the community & was instrumental in fundraising & helping with the Sandy Springs Mission.
He is survived by his wife, Gay H, Cooper, sons, Christopher & Kevin, daughters Kimberly (Frank Afonso) & Kelly (Mark Pearson), step-son Michael Dean (Carmen), 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, brother Tony Cooper (Dora) & sister, Barbara (Alan Deagan), plus numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by son, Cameron, and sister Sylvia (Gordon Whitehead).
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 2 o’clock, with a reception following the service at H. M. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Road N.E., Sandy Springs GA. 30328. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Sandy Springs Mission, 850 Mount Vernon Highway, Atlanta, GA. 30327.
