This is my son's first year to play baseball and coach was so excited to have Ethan on his team because he saw the potential in Ethan. It pains me to know a great man, role model, father and husband was taken too soon. The Seawell family will always be in my prayers!!

I can't find words for the fond memories of Leonard from HI days. He was a very special student and athlete, but his greatest gifts were a joyful spirit and a kind heart. I pray that you can find comfort in memories of the best days of his life.

Leonard drove me to school for a few years...he was always full of life and warmth, rushing his VW or his mom's convertible through traffic and making a car full of kids laugh...I am sure his booming laugh is echoing through heaven right now and lighting up whatever corner of the sky contains his spirit. Words cannot describe what Leonard meant to the sailors he served with.  He was by far the smartest man on that boat.  The world is definitely at a loss today.  My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of loss!

He was a good friend of which I spent many hours talking and touring the world via the Navy. He will be missed, I can still hear his deep hearty laugh filling the room. I am very sorry for your loss, I will miss him greatly.

Leonard was one of the smartest people I had the privilege of serving with, onboard USS South Carolina.  He was also one of the most fun people to go exploring with when we pulled in overseas.  My stomach fell when I read this today.  I am very sorry for your loss, Seawell family.

Such sad news to hear about Leonard.  My memories of him are of a dynamic individual with a keen mind and affable nature.  The world is a bit smaller without him.

It was a surprise to hear the new.  Leonard was a great friend and mentor on the South Carolina.  I never had a chance to meet his family, but I can only imagine that he was a fantastic husband and father.  I am deeply saddened and sorry for your loss.  He will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear of Leonard's passing. I will remember him for the passion and fun loving nature he brought to the baseball diamond.
