Linda Fowler Coe, 79, of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 25, 2026. Linda was born in Enterprise, Alabama, on January 1, 1947. She attended Geneva High School before continuing her education at Troy University and later earning a degree in English from the University of South Alabama.
Following graduation, Linda taught high school English for two years before starting her career as a Delta Air Lines flight attendant in 1971. During her years with Delta, she formed countless lifelong friendships, traveled the world, and embraced every opportunity for adventure before retiring in 2002.
Linda married the love of her life, John Coe, in 1983. Together they built a life filled with travel, laughter, and cherished memories while welcoming family and friends into their home in Marietta, Georgia. John preceded her in death in 2007. Linda later reunited with and married her high school sweetheart, former Alabama Representative Warren Beck, in 2009 before his passing in 2010.
A woman of deep Christian faith, Linda approached life with joy, kindness, and a genuine desire to help others. She had a gift for making people feel welcome. She loved cooking, fishing, writing, and spending time with those she loved. In 2013, she enrolled in Kennesaw State University's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute to further develop her writing, fulfilling a lifelong dream by publishing multiple short stories.
Linda is survived by her sister, Mary (Frank) English of Lake Oconee, Georgia; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dr. Richard M. Jr. and Susan Coe of Charlotte, North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews, as well as several great-nieces, and great-nephews who lovingly knew her as "Gigi."
In addition to her husbands, Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Herman Howard Fowler and Alma Cleo (Hawthorne) Fowler.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you simply keep Linda and those who loved her in your thoughts and prayers.
A private graveside service will be held at Arlington Memorial Cemetery in Sandy Springs, where Linda will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, John.
A memorial service celebrating Linda's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 10, at New Life Church in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
