

Louise Poole Day, 86, of Atlanta died on Tuesday, the 15th of March 2016. Daughter of the late J. H. Poole and Myrtle Dunaway Poole, Louise was born in Atlanta on April 22, 1929. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen C. Day, Jr. a prominent Executive with Coca-Cola. Louise was a graduate of Girls High School, Class of 1947. She attended the University of Georgia where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theata Sorority. Louise was an active member of Northwest Presbyterian Church, the Salvation Army Auxiliary, a past president of the Tuxedo Garden Club, and volunteered countless hours with the American Red Cross Blood mobile. Surviving are her daughters and son-in-law, Dianne Day Dumich and Nicholas Dumich, Karen Day Newton; six grandchildren, Amanda Dumich, Allison and her husband Kevin Schimmelmann; Ashley Dumich, Allen Dumich, Sean Newton, Zachary Newton; great-grandsons, Logan and Patrick Schimmelmann. Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, the 19th of March at half-past one o’clock in the afternoon at Northwest Presbyterian Church. Prior to the memorial the family will gather for a private committal at Arlington Memorial Park.
