Marcia Vandegriff Bone, "Mickey" passed to be with the Lord, this 16th day of May, 2025. She was married to Albert Gordon Bone for 55 years. Mickey grew up in the Buckhead area and attended Washington Seminary , East Rivers Elementary & North Fulton High School. She loved sports & was a member of the girls basketball team for (3) years. They won the 1953 Georgia State Championship her senior year. She attended the University of Alabama majoring in secondary education. She was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. As a freshman she was voted into the Corrolla Beauty Court. When Mickey & Gordon were married she was the secretary for the associate dean of students at Georgia Tech. Mickey from the University of Alabama & Gordon from the University of Georgia were featured in the 1957 Blueprint yearbook for The Georgia Institute of Technology. Later Mickey & Gordon served as Co-Presidents of the baseball program for the Northside Youth Organization. Mickey also served as co-chairman of concessions for the NYO. She also served a co-chairman of the Ridgeview High School basketball concessions. Mickey was a member of the Baptist Tabernacle Church in downtown Atlanta & taught Sunday School.

Walker Lundy, widower of Saralyn Bone Lundy, Mickey's Sister-in-law.
