

She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Robert G. Milne.
Up until her final moments, she maintained dignity, kindness, appreciation and love for her family.
Mary Ann's life truly centered around family, friends and church.
Mary Ann was born in Morristown, NJ to the late John and Mary Paolella. She was raised in Madison NJ, in a loving and caring home. She received all of the sacraments at St. Vincent Martyr Church in Madison NJ.
She literally married the boy next door, Robert Milne and maintained a loving and supportive relationship. After retiring Mary Ann and Robert moved to Sun City West, AZ and eventually moved to Gainesville GA.
Mary Ann came from a large family and wanted children.
She and Robert have five children that survive them:
Daughter Diana Smith (husband Ralph) of Gainesville GA.
Daughter Mary Schimmer (partner Todd Holt) of Casa Grande AZ.
Sons Robert Milne (wife Nancy) of Lake Hopatcong NJ, John Milne OF Chicago IL , Thomas Milne (wife Lisa) of Pelham NH.
She is survived by 3 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, many nephews and a niece.
Mary Ann is one of eight children.
She was predeceased by her brother Salvatore and sister Lucy in 2022.
Her surviving siblings are; Jeanne Lukasavage of Morristown NJ, Madeline Burdett (husband Jim) of Selma TX, Dominic Paolella (wife Mary) of Barnaget NJ, John Paolella (wife Denise) of Washington DC, Elizabeth Merli (husband Bruce) of Ocala FL.
Mary Ann worked many jobs before and after marriage. Her first job was at Melrose dress shop in Madison, then she went to work at NJ Bell, Llewellyn Farms, Hopatcong town hall, Shaklee Company and her most important roles were raising five rambunctious children and managing all the books for her husbands flooring business. Sewing holiday outfits for her children and other tasks which kept her very busy, however in what little spare time she had she participated in Church activities, enjoyed readling, spending time with family and friends and traveling.
She was active in many organizations at St. Jude Church in Hopatcong NJ and Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Sun City West AZ, in addition to participating in the Sun City West Community, in her retirement years she enjoyed exercising in the pool, practicing yoga and playing miniature golf.
She also had time to spend with many friends, watch moviesand listen to music. She particularly loved to watch "Gone with the wind" and "Pretty Woman" and listen to songs like "Bobby Girl".
As we can say goodbye, we take comfort in knowing that Mary Ann's love and light will forever shine in our hearts and as we mourn we rejoice in the promise of a heavenly reunion.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local Humane Society in Mary Ann's name.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Dawsonville, GA on August 25th at 10:20 am starting with the rosary and Mass at 11:00 am.
The Memorial Mass will be livestreamed via Facebook.
A private burial will take place at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs GA.
