Mary Cowan Jackson

Mary Cowan Jackson, 93, of Decatur, GA Passed away Sunday, May 15 2011. Mrs. Jackson was born in Ellenwood, GA to the late Edgar and Otie Clark Cowan. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, but most of all a true friend to all she met. Mrs. Jackson graduated from Decatur Girls High and worked for the Coca Cola Company during WWII. In later years she was active in the Parkside Drive Garden Club in Buckhead, and in the Buckhead China Painting Club. Mrs. Jackson was a long time member of the Martha Wilson Sunday School Class at Peachtree Presbyterian Church. Mary is preceded in death by 3 husbands, John R. Turner, Jr, Frank E. Taylor, Jr, Willis Jackson; and her grandson Michael Taylor. She is survived by her sons Frank Taylor, III, John R. (Pat) Turner, III, David C. Turner, Nelson Taylor, Alan Taylor, Willis Jackson, Jr, Rob Jackson; daughter Peggy Dannemann; long time friend and care giver Johnnie Williams; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Patterson’s Arlington Chapel. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.
