I am so sorry to hear about Morgan’s passing. I remember her from my Spanish classes at HSP, and especially from the summer camp she and her brother participated in. She was a trooper - climbing Etowah Indian Mounds with a boot on her foot, playing minigolf and going bowling and never complaining. My heartfelt condolences! - Bibiana Marlar (Perez)

Morgan was one of my first friends at Holy Spirit, and she remained one throughout my school years. She taught me how to find joy in almost everything, and not a day went by that I didn’t want to be just like her.  Morgan was so talented and intelligent, but above all she had the biggest heart. She made sure to be a friend to all, and I count myself lucky to have been one of hers. I will remember school with her as the reason I was able to come out of my shell, because she made everything brighter. She was the kindest soul and I know that I speak for many when I say Morgan’s light colored my life.  Sending prayers to the Delaney family.

Morgan was truly one of the kindest, most upbeat, most friendly people I could have grown up with. I feel so grateful for her friendship and, in particular, for the example of friendship she has given the community for such a long time now. We are so lucky to have seen someone actually be a friend with the effortlessness and consistency that seemed only possible in movies. Her miraculous escape from that nasty, chronically insecure stage of every other teenagers’ lives was a Houdini trick — the secret being the strength of her upbringing and her countless gifts. I’ve been reflecting about how many of my friendships aspired to be like Morgan’s with others, Laney’s in particular, and how much Morgan’s example oriented me through phases of life. There is a village of people who learned so much from Morgan. I know we will all hold onto these wonderful aspects of her, irrevocable and uncountable, as parts of ourself. I am thinking of and praying for you, Delaney Family.

We are so sad to hear about Morgan’s passing on Tuesday. She was such a wonderful friend and teammate to Hope on the soccer team. I remember her drive and excellent kicking ability on the field, and her determination was contagious. She provided a lot of energy and positivity for the team to win all of those games! Kris and Michael, know that you and your family are in our prayers for comfort and peace at this incredibly difficult and sad time.
