Mozhgan, "Magie" Vatan Jahangard, 48, transcended to a better place on August 4th, 2018 after a long battle with breast cancer.

Mozhgan was born in Mashhad, Iran in 1970 to Maryam Bathaei and Ahmad Azhdari Vatan. In a country bustling with culture and poetry, Mozhgan, began her journey into adulthood with her two brothers Mehrdad and Mehran.

After experiencing the beauty of her own country, Mozhgan ventured around the world and settled in America. A brown eyed girl looking for a community to grow with.

In Atlanta, she found her home, her people, and even more family. Mozhgan has many passions in her life and pursued many careers. As F. Scott Fitzgerald said, "it's never too late to be whoever you want to be. I hope you live a life you're proud of, and if you find that you're not, I hope you have the strength to "start over": Earlier this year, Mozhgan became a real estate agent with Keller Willams Realty, INC. Mozhgan had many purposes but her biggest was to be a mother to her two daughter's Sahar and Sepeideh Jahangard; her daughters are a reflection of herself. Mozhgan's mission in life was to change the world for the better; she believed in positivity, energy, and human connection. In every encounter she had, Magie radiated her Light to those around her. Her soul and her love surround us still. Mozhgan wanted to change the world and through the connections and legacy she left behind she has.

Now it is our duty, as acquaintances, co-workers, friends, and family to carry on her life's mission. One person has the power to change thousands of lives and they need only to change themselves. Mozhgan's favorite story about the Alchemist, preached that "When we love, we always strive to become better than we are. When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too."

She will be incredibly missed and survived by her mother, Maryam, her brothers, Mehran and Mehrdad, her children Sahar and Sepeideh, their father, Hamid, and all of her extended family. Please come celebrate her life with them, Tuesday the 7th of August at one o'clock in the afternoon at H.M. Patterson & Son Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Road, NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.
