On January 22, Neil Holtz, long time resident of South Orange, NJ, passed peacefully at his home surrounded by family following a long and courageous battle with Melanoma. Neil spent his entire career in the wine and spirits business and was widely respected as a consummate gentleman, superb businessman and honest to a fault. Most importantly, Neil was a dedicated family man. He leaves behind his college sweetheart and wife, Barbara Kalin, three children - Stacey and Rick Rubin, Julie and Michael Gering and Ivan Holtz. He also leaves behind five wonderful grandchildren - Dr. Sharon Rubin, Lori Rubin, Robert Rubin, Harrison Gering and Devon Gering. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 3 o'clock at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd., NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. Neil will be laid to rest at Arlington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Neil's name to the memory care unit at Daughters of Israel in West Orange, New Jersey.
