Nesie I. Summers

Nesie Summers passed away peacefully in Atlanta, GA on January 15, 2025, where she resided for the past 11 years following the death of her beloved husband, Jerry, of 56 years. Born on February 13, 1932 in Detroit, MI, Nesie moved with her family at the age of 11 to Miami Beach, FL. Nesie made a beautiful, humor-filled life in Miami with Jerry, and her daughters, Vicki and Lesli. She traveled extensively with Jerry, colored the world with her beautiful photography, remained present for her grandchildren from coast to coast, and even went sky diving at the age of 84!

Best known for her magnificent photography, Nesie’s creative gift touched many people, who still cherish her work. More notably, she was an incredibly kind, compassionate person who was loved by all, and who always helped others in need.

Despite suffering with Alzheimer’s Disease for many years, she continued to live her life as fully as possible throughout each stage of the illness.

Nesie is predeceased by her mother and father, Bella and Joseph, husband Jerry, and great-grandson Elliot. She is survived by her two daughters, Vicki and Lesli, son-in-law, Randy, two brothers, Paul and Leonard, three grandchildren, Bradley, Molly, and Kimberly, and four great-grandchildren, Lena, Henry, Jacob, and Colin. She is also dearly remembered by her many, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
