

Norman was born to Mortimer P. Frank and Essie Levy Frank of Pittsburgh, PA on July 22, 1930. Norman grew up in Washington, DC and attended Fork Union Military Academy. He graduated from the University of Maryland and served as an officer in the US Air Force. His service included being a navigator during the Korean War. Following his military service, Norman had a gratifying and successful career as an Aeronautical Engineer at Lockheed Martin of Marietta.
Norman was preceded in death by his wife, Valkyrie Vicars Frank to whom he was devoted and faithful for 49 years. He is survived by his 5 children, daughter Maile and husband Scott Lewis, son Mark and wife Beth Frank, daughter Jackie and husband Robert Mayfield, daughter Shari Frank, and daughter Jeri Cochran. Additionally he is survived by 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He dedicated himself to staying involved with his grandchildren and great grandchildren by earnestly tracking their interests.
As a Marietta resident for 70 years, he was a member of Marietta-Smyrna Coin Club, Paulding County Model Aviators Flying Club, Academy of Model Aeronautics, and both the Cobb County and National Alliance for the Mentally Ill. His interests extended to watching local sports, professional tennis, Olympics, and financial news, as well as listening to music, and an appreciation for classic cars. He was a generous to his neighbors/neighborhood, as well as many charitable organizations.Norman will be dearly missed.
In addition, we would like to state that the funeral services (chapel and graveside services) are reserved for the family only.
