Elizabeth “Liz” Marbut Serravezza, a beautiful and vibrant woman whose radiant smile could light up any room, passed away on October 24, 2026, at the age of 74. Defined by her elegance, strength, and steadfast faith, Liz touched countless lives.
Born on November 11, 1951, Liz grew up in Decatur, Georgia. She graduated from Druid Hills High School before attending the University of Georgia and later earning her undergraduate degree from Rollins College. From an early age, Liz possessed a natural sense of style. At just 16, she began a professional modeling career that took her to the runways, launching a lifelong passion for fashion and helping others look and feel their best.
Liz built a successful career in the fashion industry, serving as a buyer and wardrobe consultant for Rich’s. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to open Collections, a clothing boutique in Dunwoody, Georgia, where she designed dresses under her personal label, Lizzie’s.
After stepping away from her career to devote time to being a full-time mother, Liz later returned to entrepreneurship, establishing a company that provided high-end gifts for corporate clients.
Following her return to Atlanta, she directed her attention toward service and volunteerism, finding deep fulfillment in helping women rebuild their lives and discover their potential. She helped disadvantaged women dress for success and secure meaningful employment through Every Woman Works, where she served on the Board of Directors.
Above all, Liz was a woman of deep and abiding faith. A devoted member of Peachtree Presbyterian Church, she was a committed follower of Jesus Christ who actively participated in women's ministry and Bible study. She was also deeply involved in Cloudwalk Ministries. Her faith guided her relationships, inspired her service to others, and carried her through her final days, allowing her to enter into the loving arms of Jesus without fear.
Liz loved to travel, hike, walk, and workout, remaining active through most of her life. She cherished her friends and was deeply loved in return. Her elegance was evident in her appearance, but her true beauty shone through in her spirit and her faithfulness.
Liz is survived by her beloved husband, Bill Serravezza; her daughter, Stephanie Moseley; her stepdaughter, Kim Serravezza; her granddaughters, Sophia and Ava Moseley and Grace Whissell; and her sons-in-law, Brent Moseley and David Millians. She was preceded in death by her parents, Flora and Evan Marbut, and her sister, Tish Harlowe.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary at Peachtree Church, 3434 Roswell Road, Atlanta, Georgia. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Liz’s extraordinary life.
Though she will be deeply missed, Liz’s light will continue to shine through her family, her friends, and the many women whose lives she transformed. She has finished her earthly journey and now rests in perfect peace in the eternal embrace of our Savior.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Cloudwalk Ministries in honor of Liz.
