After spending a number of years in the advertising industry in New York City and St. Louis, he and Judy settled in the Atlanta area where he continued to work in television advertising sales, primarily for Katz Communications. In 2005 he retired to Palm Coast, FL where he enjoyed a game of tennis every morning and focused on his life-long love of acting. He was passionate about his one-man show ‘Discovering Henry Flagler’, which he wrote, directed and performed.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Jellinek, his brother Peter Jellinek, his son Marc Jellinek, his granddaughter Jennifer Jellinek, his daughter Michelle Skalka and son-in-law David Skalka, his grandchildren, Jacob and Benjamin Skalka, his daughter Abby Johnson and son-in-law Kobie Johnson.
Funeral services will be held April 9, 2015 at 11:00 at Arlington Memorial Park, Sandy Springs, GA. A memorial service will be held in Palm Coast, FL at a later date.
