Paul Douglas True, 63, of Sandy Springs, passed away suddenly at Northside Hospital on November 24, 2014. Paul grew up in Wantagh, New York and graduated from Dowling College and the State University of Oneonta. Prior to moving to Georgia in 2000, Paul served the New York State Departments of Labor and Health for 18 years. After 10 additional years as a Human Resources Professional with the Georgia Departments of Corrections and Revenue, he retired in 2011.
Paul will be remembered for his humor and generosity, as well as his passion for dogs, reading, blues guitar and his family. He is survived by his wife Susan; daughter Vanessa Shoop of Loganville, her husband Wesley and children Morganne and Linkoln; sisters Diana Pascarella of Western Springs, Illinois, and Connie Crane of Costa Mesa, CA.; brother Richard True of Huntington Beach, CA.; and many nephews, nieces and their families.
At Paul's request no funeral services will be held, but there will be a celebration of his life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the ASPCA, Animal Legal Defense Fund, or Toys for Tots.
