November 19, 1955 – September 15, 2026
Micajah “Peck” Brumby, an Atlanta native, died September 15, 2026, at the age of 70. He was the son of the late Thomas Micajah Brumby III and Jessie Nunnally Brumby.
Peck attended The Lovett School and Colgate University before transferring to Washington and Lee University, from which he graduated. He later pursued graduate studies at Georgia State University.
Decidedly his own person, Peck possessed a keen eye, a dry wit, and a mischievous sense of humor. His affection was understated, expressed through loyalty and generosity rather than words. Those who knew him well understood.
Peck is survived by his sister, Jessie Brumby Panek, and her husband, Jon Panek, of Harvard, Massachusetts, along with a plethora of cousins and a gaggle of friends.
He leaves behind, quite appropriately, a measure of mystery, still hidden behind a smoky veil.
