Price Richard Ferguson

Price Richard Ferguson, 97, of Atlanta, died October 10, 2011 at Brighton Gardens of Buckhead. He was a retired former vice president of Plantation Pipe Line Company and an active member of Peachtree Presbyterian Church. Mr. Ferguson was a graduate of Belmont Abbey Junior College and Catawba College where he was a 3 sport letterman and honor graduate. He played baseball in his early years and was a pitcher in the Tar Heel League and with the Cincinnati Reds. Mr. Ferguson was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Powell Ferguson and daughter, Brenda Ferguson Babb. He is survived by his daughter, Freida F. Ellis; grandchildren, Richard Eric Ellis, Scott William Ellis, Kimberly Ellis Oliver, Leigh Anne Babb Hall, Bridgett Lane Babb Dockery, Michael Ferguson Babb; 14 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Peachtree Presbyterian Church Youth Fund, 3434 Roswell Rd, Atlanta, GA 30305. A memorial service will be Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 11 o'clock at The Wilson Chapel of Peachtree Presbyterian Church with Dr. Steve Huntley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Williams Center at the church.
