Robert Capparell

Robert Capparell, M.D. died on Monday, May 27, 2013 following a four year illness of Fronto-Temporal Dementia. Doctor Capparell was born on July 21, 1949 in Rochester, New York. He was a 1971 graduate of Cornell University and a 1975 graduate of The University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He completed his Internship, Internal Medicine Residency and Infectious Diseases Fellowship at The University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Capparell, and is survived by his wife Sandy, his two sons Christopher and Vincent, his mother Rose Capparell, all of Atlanta, his sister Stephanie Butte of Redondo Beach, California, his brother James Capparell (Susan Ford) of New Orleans, Louisiana, his brothers-in-law Bill and Daniel Page (Stevvon), sisters-in-law Glenda Page Storie (Joe) and Donna Page Arnett, and his mother-in-law Frances Page, all of Lexington, Kentucky, many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and his most beloved uncle Richard Capparella of San Jose, California. Private funeral services will be held in Lexington on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Main Street location, with burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in his name to Saint Joseph’s Mercy Foundation, 1100 Johnson Ferry Rd, Suite LL80, Atlanta, Georgia 30342 or to Weinstein Hospice, 3150 Howell Mill Rd, NW, Atlanta, GA 30327.
