

Robert D. “Bob” Tyler, Jr., 92 of Atlanta, died July 28, 2013. Mr. Tyler had a strong relationship with his Lord and Savior and was always ready to give witness of his faith. He was an Eagle Scout and served as a flight instructor during World War II with The U.S. Army Air Corps. Mr. Tyler retired from Eastern Airlines after 34 years as a Captain. Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Lois H. Tyler and his brother, Jack Tyler. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and K.T. Tyler, Ron and Belinda Tyler; grandchildren, Allison Tyler, Andy Tyler, Courtney Tyler, Timothy Tyler, Ann Marie Procter; great grandchildren, Fisher Procter, Macy Procter, Finley Procter, Connor Seman; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Betty Tyler; sister-in-law, Lynda Tyler; 5 nieces and 3 nephews. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Mission Society, 6234 Crooked Creek Rd., Norcross, GA 30092, designated for the Ron Tyler Ministry. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 1 o’clock at Mount Bethel United Methodist Church with Dr. Randy Mickler officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 o’clock at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd, NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
