Rosemary S. Bryant

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, on June 3, 1937, Rosemary lived a life defined by love, creativity, faith, and an unwavering positive spirit. She attended Florida State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics in 1959. While at Florida State, she met the love of her life, fellow student J. Paul Bryant. The two were married on June 20, 1959, beginning a devoted partnership that lasted until Paul's passing in 2009.

Following graduation, Rosemary began her professional career with Georgia Light and Power. Throughout her life, however, her greatest talents extended far beyond the workplace. She was an accomplished home chef, avid gardener, talented seamstress, gifted craftswoman, and active member of her church community and Builders for Christ. She approached every endeavor with energy, creativity, and a generous heart.

While living in Salem, Ohio, Rosemary combined her entrepreneurial spirit with her artistic talents by co-founding Old Sew and Sew, a small business that created beautiful, high-end handcrafted home décor and gifts. She also shared her enthusiasm with young people as the Cheerleading Advisor at Salem High School during the mid-to-late 1980s, encouraging her students with the same warmth and optimism that characterized every aspect of her life.

Rosemary was known for her infectious sense of humor, boundless positivity, enthusiasm and ability to make everyone feel welcome. She especially expressed her love through cooking. Family and friends eagerly anticipated meals around her table, and one favorite family story tells of a restaurateur who offered to feature her famous Caesar salad in his restaurant - a testament to just how exceptional it was.

Above all, Rosemary's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose love, encouragement, and example will continue to inspire those who knew her.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, J. Paul Bryant, in 2009.

She is survived by her two sons, Paul Bryant of Connecticut and Bill Bryant of South Carolina; and by her four cherished grandchildren: Rylee Bryant and Reese Bryant of South Carolina, and Kieran Bryant and Quinlan Bryant of Connecticut.

Rosemary's legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched through her kindness, laughter, creativity, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
