Ruth B. Behrends, 80, of Dunwoody died on Sunday, the 1st of December 2013. Born in Iowa City, Iowa she was wife of the late Gene Behrends. She was dedicated to her family. She was an educator who taught high school for thirty-one years. Ruth had a caring heart and her loving spirit will be missed by many friends and family. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Heather Behrends, Andrew and Kamillia Behrends; six grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Murphy, Rita Greaber, Mary Long; brother, Father Raymond Ruppenkamp; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will be celebrated Thursday, December 5th at 2:00pm at All Saints Catholic Church in Dunwoody, GA, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated and Ruth enjoyed working with Missionaries of Charity – 995 St. Charles Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30306.
