I was in Ruddy's Cardiac Rehab Exercise Class and saw him most Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 to 11:00.  Ruddy was a sweet man.  He would quietly go about his business of exercising and updating his chart.  He always was polite and had a friendly smile for everyone.  There seemed to be such depth in him that I always wondered about and wished I knew him better..  After reading his obituary I can see I was right. What a man.  I send my deepest sympathy to the family.  We all will miss him very much and remember him in our hearts.

I will miss hearing Ruddy's cheerful voice answering the phone, and his willingness to go along with anything fun! I was privileged to know him and thank him and the entire Ellis family for their friendship through the years!!  Winston & Mimi will miss Ruddy too!  He always greeted them with a little laugh and petted them as they sat on the sofa, not to mention throwing the ball or running the train around the Christmas tree for Mimi! Thanks for the times I had at Cape Cod with your family...very special indeed!  God bless all of you at this time of loss!

Such a blessing to have experienced Cousin Ruddy as both a family member and an empowering model for living a life contoured by kindness,gentleness, genuine humility and intellectual rigor. His uncle and my father, Bryant Hodgson, enjoyed a lifelong friendship which rotated merrily around all things mechanical, a passion shared by both.  No doubt they are now gleefully exploring Heaven's hobby shops together.

Ruddy loved us and  made a difference for so many.   He was a pillar of our church family and we are not the same without him. Our love and prayers for Daisy and family.

He was a good man, and gave his time and talents to the community in so many ways. He will be missed.

Rudd was a wonderful gentleman and a pleasure to have judged with over the years at the Atlanta FSC and at other competitions. He will be missed. My condolences to his wife Daisy and the family.

My deepest sympathy to Daisy and the rest of the family.  The suddenness of Ruddy's passing is a great shock.  I had talked with him less than a month ago and had brought him out to Duluth to make a presentation on the Tallulah Falls Railroad to the Atlanta Chapter NRHS a few months before that.  He had so much knowledge about so many different things.  He will be missed!

Condolences to Daisy and the family.  Ruddy had a great life and a great family.  He was the kindest, gentlest, smartest Rambling Wreck in the whole garage, and a heck of an engineer.  His influence on his highly accomplished nephews and grandnephews, pioneers in the aerospace industry should not be underestimated.

Daisy, know that Hap and I are thinking of and praying for you and the family. He was such a fine man.
